By train
Kraków’s main railway station, Kraków Główny, is located in the city centre. The city has direct international rail connections with Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest, as well as numerous domestic connections throughout Poland.
By plane
There are two airports serving Kraków:
- Kraków Airport – Balice (John Paul II International Airport Kraków)
- Katowice Airport (Pyrzowice)
Kraków Airport (Balice)
Located approximately 15 km west of the city centre, Kraków Airport offers more than 160 flight connections.
From the airport to the city centre:
- Train: A modern train operated by Koleje Małopolskie runs regularly between Kraków Airport and the city centre.
The train station is located next to the terminal, behind the multi-storey car park, and is connected to the terminal by a covered footbridge. Timetables are available on the Małopolska Railway website. - Bus: Public bus lines 209 and 300, as well as night line 902, connect the airport with the city. The bus stop is located near the passenger terminal. You can check the website for more information.
- Taxi: Taxis are available 24/7 directly outside the arrivals hall. Taxi service counters are also located inside the terminal. Alternatively, you can book a ride via mobile apps such as Bolt or Uber, both of which operate in Kraków.
Katowice Airport (Pyrzowice)
From Katowice Airport, you can reach Kraków by:
- Bus: Direct services operated by FlixBus and Matuszek
- Private transfer: Services provided by companies such as Matuszek or Krakow Shuttle.
By Bus
The main bus station in Kraków is MDA, located directly next to and connected with Kraków Główny railway station.
Buses operate on numerous regional, national, and international routes. Tickets can be purchased:
- At ticket offices (Monday–Sunday, 07:00–19:45)
- Directly from drivers (depending on availability)
- Online via individual carriers’ websites
Kraków has convenient bus connections with major Polish cities including Warsaw, Katowice, Wrocław, Rzeszów, and Zakopane, as well as international destinations such as Prague, Vienna, Munich, Lviv, and Kyiv.
By Car
Kraków is well connected by a network of national and international roads, including the A4 motorway, which forms part of the European route E40.
Motorway tolls in Poland are collected either electronically or at toll gates, depending on the section. You can check toll information and purchase electronic payments via:
Electronic information boards on major access routes provide real-time traffic updates and direct drivers to Park & Ride (P+R) facilities.

By public transport
Kraków has a well-developed public transport network of trams and buses. A public transport map is available here.
Please note:
- A valid ticket is required before boarding.
- Tickets must be validated immediately upon entering the tram or bus using the stamping machine.
- If you purchase your ticket via the contactless payment terminal inside the vehicle, validation is automatic.
- Ticket validity is time-based, and transfers are unlimited within the selected time period.
Tickets can be purchased:
- Via contactless payment inside vehicles
- At ticket machines
- At kiosks and information points
- Online via the official ZTP Kraków website

By taxi
Kraków has numerous taxi operators available throughout the city.

By bike or e-scooter
Kraków offers over 320 km of cycling paths, making it easy to explore the city by bike.
Short-term rental options for bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters are widely available through mobile apps, including:
- Bolt – shared electric bikes and scooters
- Lime – electric scooters, mainly in central districts
- Dott – shared e-scooters with per-minute pricing
These services are designed for short rides and can be unlocked via smartphone. Parking rules vary by operator, and designated parking zones are clearly indicated in each app.
ICE Krakow Congress Center
The venue is easily accessible by public transport.
From Kraków Airport:
Take bus 300 towards Os. Podwawelskie and get off at Rondo Grunwaldzkie. From there, it is approximately a 2-minute walk to the venue.
From Kraków Główny (Main Railway Station):
Take bus 179 towards Os. Kurdwanów and get off at Rondo Grunwaldzkie. The venue is about a 2-minute walk from the stop.
To enter Poland, you will need to show a valid passport, or a national identity card if you are an EU/EEA citizen.
If you are not an EU/EEA citizen, please consult your embassy to check specific requirements, as additional documentation may be needed.
