By plane

The international Václav Havel Prague Airport is located on the northwestern outskirts of Prague in the Ruzyně district. Connections to the city centre are provided by public transport buses, AE – Airport Express buses, or Tick Tack-Airport Taxi.

By train

Three European railway corridors intersect in Prague, connecting the metropolis with the whole of Europe. The city’s primary train station is the Prague Main Railway Station. Czech Railways is the largest national carrier in the Czech Republic; other major operators include RegioJet and Leo Express.

By bus

The central bus station in Prague is Prague Florenc Bus Station, a full-service station in the city centre at the Florenc metro station (lines B and C). More than 100 transport companies service the station, including international carriers. One of the major domestic and interstate carrier is RegioJet, which operates both buses and trains. Other large carriers include FlixBus. LEO Express provides bus connections to Prague from Germany and Austria.

By car

A dense network of roads leads to Prague, which are linked together by the Prague ring road (D0) in Prague. Motorway tolls are collected in the form of a motorway electronic vignette  which can be purchased in an e-shop, at sales points, or at self-service kiosks. There is a system of electronic information boards on all access routes to Prague, which guide drivers to P + R (park and ride) parking lots and provide information regarding the current state of parking spaces. 

 

Moving around Prague

By bike

At present, there are several services that rent various two-wheeled vehicles to visitors through mobile applications – classic and electric bicycles and scooters. 

The location and rules of the individual companies vary: 

Rekola – pink shared bikes in the city center and wider city centre.

Nextbike – blue marked shared bikes in the city center, the wider city center, and selected suburbs of Prague 

Bolt – green shared electric bikes 

 

By public transport

You can travel by public transport only with a valid ticket, which must be purchased prior to boarding the means of transport. Don’t forget to stamp your ticket upon entering the vehicle (tram, bus, ferry) or the transport space (metro and funicular) in the stamping device, otherwise you risk incurring a fine. It is not necessary to stamp the ticket when you purchase a ticket using the contactless terminal located in the middle of each tram. 

Ticket validity is based on only on time — the number of transfers does not matter.

By taxi

Prague has plenty of taxis and there are many operators in the city – their fleets differ in quality and color of their vehicles.

Official contract taxi service of Václav Havel Airport: Taxis are available 24 hours a day directly in front of the arrival halls of both terminals. Taxi service counters are located in the arrival halls of Terminals 1 and 2. 

Another option is to arrange a taxi using the mobile application Liftago, Bolt or Uber

Passport & Visa

To enter the Czech Republic, you will need to show a valid passport, or national identity card if you are an EU/EEA citizen. 

If you are not an EU/EEA citizen, please consult your embassy to check specific requirements, as additional documentation may be needed. 

Attendees must be registered and have paid the required registration fees before requesting an official letter of invitation. 

All requests should be sent by e-mail to [email protected].

Foreign participants (non-EU) should contact the Czech Embassy or Consulate in their home country to determine their specific Visa requirements. 

Please note that the organisers cannot assist participants with their Visa application and cannot intervene with Embassies or Consulates on behalf of any participant. 

The Visa letter is provided solely to assist participants in obtaining permission to attend the congress; it does not imply any commitment from the organisers to cover expenses or provide financial support. All costs related to the congress are the responsibility of the participant. 

Going to the O2 Universum

O2 Universum (Českomoravská 2345/17, 190 00 Praha 9-Libeň, Chequia) is easily accessible by public transport, from the train station or from the airport. There are also several options for the tram. You can park your car at the house parking .
